Hi, I’m Kirsty Baggs-Morgan

I built my work around the gaps I experienced in my own HR career and that I repeatedly saw in others.

It was never about a lack of knowledge or technical capability. It was about how HR is positioned, how confidently people operate at senior level, and how often they are expected to contribute strategically without the clarity or support to do it well.

After 25 years in international HR leadership roles, followed by several years in consultancy and executive coaching, I have deliberately shaped my work so that I am not only advising HR from the outside, but working across the wider business context as well.

Alongside my coaching and development work, I support organisations and leadership teams more broadly. This includes strategy coaching and consulting with HR professionals, business leaders and founders, as well as conducting management due diligence on behalf of private equity firms, where I assess leadership teams, business strategy and what is required to enable growth and scale. I also hold a Non-Executive Director role within a technology business.

What is unique about my experience is the combination of roles I have held.

I have worked in-house in senior, international HR roles in the UK, US, Singapore, Switzerland and the Netherlands, as a consultant and coach, and now as a strategic advisor through private equity due diligence and as a Non-Executive Director.

Most people experience one or two of these. Very few have worked across all of them. That means I approach HR, leadership and strategy with a perspective shaped by how decisions are made, challenged and implemented at different levels of a business.

Since leaving in-house HR, my focus has been on supporting people in the HR profession to think differently about their role, to operate with greater confidence and to have a more meaningful impact within their organisations. I do that through the S.P.I.C.E. programme, through 1:1 coaching, through HR team development work and through Evolving HR, the platform and community I founded to support HR professionals and HR-related businesses.

I show up as myself in my work and expect the same from others. That means being open, honest and direct, rather than presenting a version of ourselves that feels more acceptable.

My Values

I do not follow standard approaches for the sake of it. I question, challenge and make decisions based on what will actually work, rather than what is commonly accepted.

I believe in working with others, sharing ideas and building connections, not operating in isolation. There is far more value in collaboration than there is in competing for attention.

Different perspectives lead to better thinking and better outcomes. Creating space for those perspectives, and taking them seriously, is a fundamental part of how I work.

This is less about music, more about energy. I value honesty, individuality and a willingness to challenge what doesn’t feel right, rather than defaulting to what is expected.
